Eyebrow Microblading | Semi-Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing for Brows

Microblading has become the hottest new trend in semi-permanent makeup for the brows. Women all over the nation are taking advantage of this new and safe way to make their brows look full without the hassle of having to apply makeup every morning.

Microblading uses a hand-held tool that fills brows out or reshapes them by tattooing on tiny lines that look like individual hairs. Instead of outlining and completely filling in the outline of your brows with color, eyebrow microblading actually allows for the placement of hair-like strokes into the skin.  The results are semi-permanent as the pigment doesn’t go as deep as a normal tattoo would. Microbladed brows last approximately 12 months to 2 years.

At WINK, we begin the consult by discussing the client’s desired look and shape and determining the best brow color. Preliminary measuring for brow placement is also done at the consult to determine the best brow shape.

On the actual treatment day, an in-depth, multi-step brow measuring process will take place to ensure the best shape and placement. The artist sketches out the full brow with the appropriate thickness and arch height to give the client a good idea of what the finished brows will look like and set the outline for the microblading.

To ensure the best results, if the skin is unhealthy the outcome will be unpredictable and most likely not ideal. If clients have a history of bleeding disorders, active inflammatory conditions near the eyebrows like eczema, psoriasis or shingles, allergies to ink, taking prescription acne medications like Accutane, using products with anti-aging ingredients like retinol and taking blood thinners or supplements may not be good candidates for microblading.

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo. Like all tattoos, microblading can fade, depending on multiple factors, including sun exposure, elements found in skincare products and medications.
